Before studying acupuncture I obtained a BSc and then a PhD in Biochemistry from the University Of Sussex. I then worked for a number of years as a Senior Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry involved in the research and development of new pharmaceutical drugs. One of the medicines I worked on was Viagra. As a result of experiencing the benefits of acupuncture myself I became increasingly fascinated by Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and decided to study it at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. I qualified in a powerful integrated style of acupuncture which combines Five Element with Traditional Chinese Medicine for maximum therapeutic effect. This gave me membership of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the main governing body for professional acupuncturists in the UK, see also 'Why use a BAcC member'. More recently I have trained in Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture in London. I have also recently joined the NHS Directory of Complementary Practitioners. My private practice is located in several Doctors surgeries in the Swindon, Marlborough & Hungerford areas. Patients do not have to be registered at the surgery to be treated. I regularly treat patients for a wide range of conditions using the therapies listed on this site. |
